Though I consider myself highly intuitive, I'm actually rationally based. I'm analytically minded; However, analyzing people is simply improper. I don't think people and their complexities are so easily categorized and/or labeled. Rationalizing a person's behavior is just too relative and circumstantial for any observers mind to truly understand. So, I rely on my intuition for all behavioral and relational matters.

I don't have regrets, or feel disappointed often. I'm quite an optimist realist by nature. Though, I am quite skeptical to certain mediums at times. For instance, All writing is Rhetoric. It's persuasive and argumentative. Also, the phrase 'Based on truth' or 'based on a true story' means it's more fictional than fiction, as true fiction doesn't claim to be true.

I'm also quite quirky..hey, nobody is perfect! For instance, when I am frustrated, I can be an angry prick. I've found that I get frustrated real quickly when I'm failing to accomplish a trivial task, like unscrewing a door hinge, because the screw was stripped! I'm not violently aggressive, mind you. I don't punch the door, even though I really really want to.. and it deserves it :P. It's just me venting, part of the process of me getting things done, I suppose...

Another quirk, I don't keep in touch very well. I love my family, and I'm a very family orientated guy, but I rarely ever call them.

I've realized that playing hard to get isn't a good strategy for me. Until recently, I rationalized it as a means of judging how much a person (in my case, the woman) desires you (me). I was partial wrong, it only means they desire something from you. The truth is most people are simply too dismissive and self-assured to engage in such mind games. Thats ironic, because playing hard to get is rooted in that perception: dismissive and self-assured. It appears that only people with unredeemable qualities, such as low self-esteem, will engage. Not all people that have low self-esteem are unattractive, superficially speaking. A good example, is single parents. Now, I wrote this thought out as though it was post gender, when in actuality, I suspect it's not. How about instead of these rationalizations and mind games, we just do this: I be man, you be woman, and we'll both be exceptional. :D

The gentleman I would like to find would have chivalry and some good manners. Apparence is a plus, if you don't care about yourself how can you expect someone else to. I realize that we all are putting forth our best efforts and don't want to come across as something we are not. Stability is also important, I am not looking to support someone. I am not looking for someone who's self-confidence is so overwhelming it comes across as being arrogant. Compromise, not asking someone to change just to bend. A man who is willing to meet me half way; a man who walks beside me and not ahead of me or behind me; a man with whom I can grow and share my life with.

I am interested in meeting new people; however, I am not interested in playing games. I honestly believe that attraction comes first then everything else just falls into place. If the attraction is not there nothing will evolve. So if your interested, please provide a photo.

Over the years I've boiled my 'self summary' down:

I'm kinda of a jerk, but never in a serious way. I poke fun, and am good natured when its poked back.

I'm a literature nerd. I love classics because you know they are going to be good, versus contemporary bull. Most new books are just series books where each is designed to wrap you in the story just enough to sell the next.

I'm a dork for the Green Lantern, can't help it.

All that aside if you can actually get me to be serious, I've been told I'm very helpful. I'd also do anything for those close to me, friends, family, etc, I'm the guy that gets woken up at 2am when people are too drunk to drive home.

Also just as a side note, forgive me if you see me in your visitors list more than once. People change pictures so often that if you see me in there a few times, its not that i'm stalking you, I just forgot that I'd seen you before. I'm bad at that kind of thing, I'll remember people I talked to though, personalities make a face worth remembering.

I am a musician, actor, and car salesman... yeah I know that last one doesn't fit, but you gotta make money right? I'm big into movies and hope to work in the film industry after college. I'm from New Orleans and proud of it, I wouldn't want to grow up anywhere else. I'm pretty dynamic and varied as far as my interests and habits go. My name is Denise. Born in New Orleans, raised in Covington. I believe that what people see depends mainly on what they look for.
